A young girl brings a duckling she finds that has strayed from the park and onto the city streets home to be raised. Early morning feedings, baths, and cleaning are all necessary for the baby duck until it’s time to say farewell. The child returns the fully grown duck to the water once her pet has grown too big for the bath.After that, she misses it and questions whether it remembers her. Eventually, though, the duck returns, this time carrying six ducklings of her own.
