Adolescent Male Lion Toy Figure

One of the most distinguishing traits of the male lion is its mane, composed of thicker, longer, darker brown fur than what’s found on the rest of its body. Most male lions develop manes, and some females do as well. Manes begin to develop around one year of age, and are usually completely filled in by the time a lion reaches four years old. Adolescent male lions will show a developing mane that can have a “mohawk”-like look to it.
